Background and Experience:
Ray George, together with wife Suzanne, founded MRI Weston in 2000. MRI Weston has placed more than two hundred managers and leaders in positions of sales and marketing, finance, research and development, clinical research professionals, biotech scientists, engineers, IT professionals, etc. Prior to founding MRI Weston Ray had 25 years of management experience in the medical, medical device, pharmaceutical arena. 20 year career at Merck & Co, Inc., wound care division; Two years at Bristol Myers Squibb, ConvaTec Division; Three years at STERIS Corp. Career focus has been on sales, sales management, training, and management development. Relocated to Weston, Florida in 1998 with STERIS to represent their Scientific division in Latin America. BS Economics, Westminster College, New Wilmington, Pennsylvania and a MBA from Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Mo. Two year hitch in the US Army as a combat engineer; served in Germany during the Vietnam era. Currently, the Owner and Managing Partner of the Weston franchise office of Management Recruiters International conducting searches for managers, engineers, and executives in the pharmaceutical, biotech and medical device arena. Past member of Jaycees International and recognized by them in 1978 as one of their “Outstanding Young Men in America”. Member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church., Member and Board Member of Rotary International, BioFlorida, Ft. Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce, Gold Coast Venture Capital Association.
We’ve all heard of the golden rule. I like to practice the “platinum rule”. “Do unto others the way others like to be done unto.” All of us desperately want others to really listen to what we have to say. Since the telephone is the main communication tool that I use, aggressive listening is not only the key but it is imperative to understanding. I try to model superb listening skills when communicating with my candidates and clients and I expect them to demonstrate that same skill. It is my goal to maintain an informal, relaxed, candid, and cheerful “tone” in each conversation. Why create barriers to honest communication.

Some people get too comfortable in their jobs. They stop growing. I am constantly looking for the impact players who show evidence of constantly growing. I know them when I see them.
